Is my Eventbrite registration a guaranteed ticket for the conference?

Your registration is a pre-registration. Due to limited capacity, final access requires confirmation via follow-up emails this summer. You'll need to confirm your attendance and sign up for sessions. Important: a donation secures your spot. We look forward to seeing you there!

What languages will be spoken at the conference?

The conference languages are German and English. On the main day (October 3), both languages will be represented: the morning sessions will mainly be in German for local guests (with some English workshops for Internationals), and the afternoon will shift to English (with some workshops in German).

Will all three days of the conference take place at the Wiener Bildungsakademie?

No. Only the main conference day on Friday will take place at the Wiener Bildungsakademie. The Thursday and Saturday programmes will be held at various locations across the city of Vienna. You will receive detailed information about meeting points and venues shortly before the event.

Is participation free of charge?

Yes, participation in the conference is free of charge. However, registration is required due to limited capacity. As the event is entirely organized by volunteers, we kindly suggest a voluntary contribution of €5 to €20 to help cover basic costs for the main conference day. You can make a donation

YES-Europe (Young Leaders in Energy and Sustainability) is a European youth network that connects students, young professionals, and experts across disciplines to shape a just and sustainable energy transition. Founded in 2016, YES-Europe organizes annual international conferences and local events.

YES-Europe Austria is the Austrian branch of YES-Europe a.  Based in Vienna, the team brings together students, early-career professionals, and researchers to organize public events, foster dialogue between science, policy, and society, and promote youth engagement in climate and energy issues.

The conference is aimed at young adults – especially students, recent graduates, and young professionals – who are interested in sustainability, energy, and societal transformation. Experienced experts and decision-makers are also warmly welcome.

No, you're welcome to attend just one or two days using Single Day Tickets (for local guests). If you’ve booked the 3-Day Pass for International Guests, you’ll have access to all three days in principle — but you’ll still receive follow-up emails over the summer to confirm your participa

Is online participation possible?

Yes. On Friday, 3 October, we will provide a full-day livestream of the main conference day. Please select the free "Livestream Ticket" to get access.
The access link will be sent out 3 days before the event to all registered participants.

Question 15

What’s the difference between "International Ticket" and "Ticket for Local Guests"?

Accepted Answer

Our conference welcomes both international participants and local guests from Austria. To ensure a balanced mix, we kindly ask guests living in Austria  to select “Ticket for Local Guests” and register day by day, not with the 3-day international pass.
