Festival Ars Electronica 2019
In 2019, Ars Electronica celebrates its 40th anniversary and, as always, looks to the future. In keeping with its title "Out of the Box – the Midlife Crisis of the Digital Revolution”, the festival embarks on an expedition to artistically and scientifically survey our modern world and its techno-economic influences, asking questions about our future prospects and options for action.
As a festival for art, technology and society, the cultural and social significance of new technical and scientific developments has always been at its forefront. Along with fellow artists and scientists, engineers, designers, technologists, entrepreneurs and social activists from all over the world, Ars Electronica invites you to attend conferences, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, performances, interventions and concerts.

Ars Electronica Festival 2019
2019 feiert die Ars Electronica ihren 40. Geburtstag und richtet den Blick naturgemäß nach vorn. Unter dem Motto „Out of the Box – die Midlife-Crisis der Digitalen Revolution“ begibt sich das Festival auf eine Expedition zur künstlerisch-wissenschaftlichen Vermessung unserer modernen techno-ökonomisch geprägten Welt, fragt nach unseren Zukunftsperspektiven und Handlungsoptionen. Als Festival für Kunst, Technologie und Gesellschaft steht dabei stets die kulturelle und gesellschaftliche Bedeutung neuer technischer und wissenschaftlicher Entwicklungen im Mittelpunkt.
Gemeinsam mit KünstlerInnen und WissenschaftlerInnen, IngenieurInnen, DesignerInnen, TechnologInnen, Entrepreneurs und Social Activists aus der ganzen Welt lädt das Festival Ars Electronica zu Konferenzen, Podiumsdiskussionen, Workshops, Ausstellungen, Performances, Interventionen und Konzerten.

Discounts available for youngsters attending school, apprentices, college students (under age 26), children and teenagers under the age of 19 (born after September 2000), seniors (age 65 and over), Austrian men performing mandatory military service or alternative civil service, people with handicaps, members/holders of Aktivpass Linz, European Youth Card, LINZ KULTURCARD 365, OÖ Familienkarte (parents or grandparents accompanied by at least one registered child) and OÖNcard, for members of Alumniverein Forum-Kunstuniversität Linz, OÖ Presseclub, Ö1 Club and Die Presse Club.
Only one discount can be applied to each ticket.
Free Admission for children under 6 years of age, holders of a Kulturpass “Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur” as well as for the accompanying person of people with assistance needs.
