Join us for an inspiring evening of conversation and connection as we explore how global solutions can spark local action for civic participation. Learn about pioneering approaches from Ashoka fellows and gain hands-on insights from democracy changemakers.

This event is designed to foster open dialogue, co-creation, and collaboration among people striving for a better society. Whether you're a social entrepreneur, activist, or simply curious about democracy, this is your space to connect with like-minded individuals and drive positive change.

Special Guest
We’re honored to welcome our outstanding Ashoka Fellow who has dedicated her time and energy to strengthening democracy and civic participation:

Sarah Corbett

Sarah P Corbett is an award-winning activist, Ashoka Fellow, author and founder of the global Craftivist Collective. Dedicated over a decade to the Craftivist Collective, honing her unique ‘Gentle Protest’ methodology, combining neuroscience, positive psychology, campaign strategy and beautiful handicrafts. Sarah discovered the term ‘craftivism’ in 2008. A word coined in 2003 by Betsy Greer as a ‘way of looking at life where voicing opinions through creativity makes your voice stronger, your compassion deeper and your quest for justice more infinite.”

There are many ways people interpret and do craftivism. Sarah calls the Craftivist Collective approach ‘Gentle Protest’: She doesn’t mean gentle as in passive or weak, but gentle as in compassionate and nuanced. It is slow, quiet, calm, focused, ego-less, hopeful and humble.

What to expect:

  • Thought-provoking conversations on democracy and civic engagement.
  • Enriching opportunities to connect and co-create with others.
  • An inclusive space that fosters idea exchange and inspiration.

Language: English

Entry: Free!

Note: This is not a political event. It’s a space to explore new ideas around democracy and strengthen the belief: I am not alone. I can make a difference.
