You need revenues if you want to survive as a company. And how do you get them? Exactly - by having great people on the team who can sell your product (that might not even exist yet) in an awesome way. Mostly, founders are the first sales people in a startup and often, they haven’t done it before. So, how exactly does sales work and what does it take to become one of those great sales people?


At this Stammtisch, we will listen to a super interesting keynote by Ben Ruschin and then talk with experienced founders and sales guys about their tips and how they managed to become kick-ass in sales.

Speaker Information


Benjamin Ruschin:

Ben is Managing Director & Co-Founder of WeAreDevelopers, the startup behind Europe's largest developer community. Ben is an Advisory Board Member of the edutech startup Codeversity and of the Austrian governmental association fit4internet. He is an active investor in early-stage B2B startups with his investment firm Code Capital Holding. Ben is a "Forbes 30 under 30" nominee and has been elected a "Digital Leader" by the World Economic Forum.


Awi Lifshitz:

Awi brings along more than 15 years of experience in digitization and IT environments with a focus on sales. He started his career in the field of industry at Ford Motor Company. For many years, he held various positions at Gartner Inc., including CIO Advisor for the Executive Program. Further positions followed, including Group Head of Sales at an IT service provider, where he focused strongly on e-mobility and then, with an MBO, founded QMotion Mobility GmbH. Since 2017 he is also teaching at the FH Technikum, where he gives lectures on the topic of e-mobility. Awi has been a member of the Advisory Board of weXelerate since the very first beginning and took over the management role in May 2019.

Petra Botekova:

Petra is a digital leadership coach, founder and speaker. Her background includes corporate & managerial experience in talent mobility industry. She has coached over 1000 professionals and executives from fifty multinational companies and led a foreign subsidiary at the age 25, becoming the youngest managing director at the company she was then working for. Following her wish to redefine talent mobility, she co-founded ReloPilot, a relocation app that provides international talent with personalised mobility solutions. Utilizing both her corporate and start-up experience, Petra leads Female Founders Lead F program, supporting female corporate leaders to succeed in the world of tomorrow, fostering their leadership skills & entrepreneurial mindset. Originally from Slovakia, she has been living and working in 5 different countries across the globe.

Daniel Laiminger:

Daniel is Co-Founder and CSO of hokify. He graduated as Master of Science in Strategy, Innovation and Management Control. During his studies Daniel worked as an Project Manager for implementing an ERP System at Eurowater Wasseraufbereitung GmbH for 3 years in Germany and Denmark.

Fadi Haddad:

Fadi is the founder of - a startup helping companies switch to good coffee without the added costs - he has over a decade of B2B sales experience in Dubai, Singapore, and Vienna and regularly holds workshops on sales strategies
