Our planet is not in its best shape at the moment and by now we all know it's about high time to do something about it. Startups founders are generally known as people who recognize opportunities and solve problems. But are startups & innovations the right way to lead us into a sustainable future? Do innovation & sustainability go together at all? And: Who and what will be able to make a difference?


At our Stammtisch #74 we will discuss all these questions and hear the opinions of our panelists: experts, founders and corporate mangers.

Speaker information: 

Matteo Landi
Matteo is a thought leader on sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and youth employment, with over 17 years of experience with the United Nations. He has developed and run multimillion dollar projects in Africa, Asia, and the EuroMed regions. Matteo is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of multiple impact driven ventures.

Wolfgang Fengler
Wolfgang has been in senior positions with the World Bank for 20 years. Wolfgang spoke at TEDx Vienna and launched (endorsed by Bill Gates) as well as, two real-time big data models. The German weekly DER SPIEGEL called him a “big data virtuoso”. Wolfgang is also a senior expert of Singularity University and recently spoke at their summit in San Francisco where he presented “Global Tipping Points – Predicting our future with Data”. Next week he will speak in Sao Paulo at Singularity “Exponential Finance Summit”.

Philipp Stangl

Philipp has been in the startup world for 7 years in different roles, both on the startup and on the investor side. As co-founder at Rebel Meat he helps to make meat sustainable again.

Silvia Rathgeb
Silvia organizes and supports purpose-driven innovation activities linked to the 17 UN Global Goals for sustainable development. She is responsible for the SAP Next-Gen program in Austria and part of its global innovation network. Her focus lies on building skills for the digital future supporting educational programs and initiatives, as well as connecting companies, universities, students and institutions to co-innovate. Examples of these co-innovation activities with both academia and companies are Design Thinking Challenges on the topics of  Clean EnergyHealthcare or Green Mobility
