Topics covered in this course will aim at teaching participants how to scan/import scanned files, design a single unit crown and more!

Topics and techniques covered in this course will aim at teaching participants how to successfully scan / import scanned files, design a single unit crown, veneer, and a 3-unit bridge using the Ceramill Mind Exocad based design software and proper nesting techniques using the Ceramill Match 2 CAM software. The course will also include an introduction to the Ceramill Zebris – Digital Facebow with tips and tricks to help speed up the design and nesting process while increasing effectiveness. The goal is to create a road map for their journey into this ever-evolving world of digital dentistry that will build their confidence as they approach more complex cases resulting in increased production with consistent results.


Learning Objectives:

1. Case / material selection – overview on materials

2. Data transfer (digital or analog) – accepting data from IOS digital impressions or desktop scanner with analog impressions.

3. Incorporating jaw movements into the digital design using Zebris digital Facebow (overview)

4. Case design – single unit, veneer, 3-unit bridge Exocad based software.

5. Nesting concepts – key points to consider ensuring a successful milling outcome.

6. Finishing – proper finishing techniques for Zr in green and sintered state.

7. Attendees will complete a Zolid Bion Zr crown.


Attendees must bring the following items: *

1. Porcelain application tools (tray, brushes, etc.)

2. Composite application tools

3. Finishing burs

4. If Ceramill Mind or Exocad user, bring laptop with dongle.

Modules covered: Ceramill Mind, match 2, Artex, M-Pass

*Some items will be provided in limited quantities. Bring your favorites. 16 CE credits
