A speaking club for professionals learning German (B1). Topic of the week: Leadership - how we lead.

The Social Hub Coworking Vienna

Let’s face it - you didn’t learn German just to talk about bananas. You’ve got ideas, experience, and ambition… but when it comes to speaking German about your actual job, things get tricky. If you’re at a B1 level or above, you probably don’t need more supermarket dialogues. What you need is a space to actually speak German, especially about topics that matter in your work life. That’s exactly what this small, friendly speaking club is about. We meet biweekly for one hour to practice German in a way that feels natural, relevant, and real. Each session has a professional topic, a short intro from one participant, and an open discussion where everyone shares their thoughts — in German, at their own level. We ask 🍌 10€ to cover space and light snacks (bananas optional)
🔹 First Topic: Leadership — How We Lead (Or Want to)
In our first meeting, we’ll speak about leadership - what kind of leaders we’ve worked with, what makes a great one, and how we’d like to grow as leaders ourselves. No pressure, no grades - just real talk in German with others who are learning too.
What to expect:
– A small, supportive group – A professional topic every time – A mix of short presentations and open discussion – No grammar drills or vocabulary lists — just speaking!
