Eigene Software-Tools zu bauen war nie so einfach. Genau das ist das Problem.

Mit KI baust du an einem Wochenende, wofür du vor drei Jahren ein Entwicklerteam gebraucht hättest. Die eigentliche Frage ist: Zahlt es sich aus?

Das hängt davon ab, was du baust. Ein Tool für dich selbst lohnt sich, wenn es dir mehr Zeit spart, als Bau und Wartung kosten, und die Wartung nicht wieder an dir hängen bleibt. Ein Produkt, das du verkaufen willst, folgt anderen Regeln. Da ist das Bauen der leichteste Teil. Schwer wird es danach: Kund:innen finden, Support leisten, Updates liefern.

Joe Wilhelm baut seit Jahren Software mit KI und bringt anderen bei, das selbst zu tun. Er zeigt, was heute wirklich geht und was nach dem Bauen kommt.

Alexander Porsch verantwortet seit über zehn Jahren Produkte, als Berater und aktuell als Director Product in einem Corporate-Venture-Startup. Als zertifizierter KI-Manager stellt er die kritischen Fragen: Zahlt sich ein eigenes Produkt aus – oder nicht?

That depends on what you’re building. A tool for yourself pays off if it saves you more hours than it costs to build and maintain, and if the maintenance doesn’t end up back on your plate. A product you want to sell plays by different rules. Building is the easy part. The hard part comes after: finding customers, providing support, shipping updates.
