CIMAC and the Austrian National Member Association (NMA) are pleased to hold the 12th CIMAC CASCADES seminar on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Large Engines Competence Center (LEC) at the Graz University of Technology Campus.
This CIMAC CASCADES seminar provides young engineers the opportunity to meet leading industry experts and to exchange information and network with them. The aim is to inspire and encourage students and young engineers to pursue a career in engineering.
The topic “On the Way towards Decarbonization – Green Fuels, Hybridization and Digitalization in Large Engine Applications” reflects the changing world of large engines and the approaches to creating a reliable combustion engine that has a very low environmental impact. The main event will consist of ten short presentations by young engineers in which they describe their projects, their approaches to tackle them, the difficulties they encountered and the results they achieved.
Throughout the seminar day, there will also be a job fair with presentations and exhibitions by companies active in the areas of engine design, engine manufacturing and engine component supplies. After the seminar, the Large Engines Competence Center (LEC) and the Institute of Internal Combustion Engines and Thermodynamics (IVT) offer a laboratory tour where selected engine test benches will be presented. An evening reception will be held at Congress Graz.
