Trending Topics – Why "something colorful" and ready-made templates won't get us anywhere

"Something colorful" isn't enough. AI, sustainability, social impact, biodiversity – the topics shaping our industry are too complex for ready-made templates and trend-chasing aesthetics. In this workshop, graphic designer and sustainability expert Max Niederschick unpacks where the real trending topics lie, and why creatives who understand them will be the ones who matter. Through discussion, playful formats, and a deliberately critical lens, we'll look at where we are, where we're headed, and what it means for your work. You'll leave with a clearer perspective on your professional future – and a few good reasons to get involved. About our host Max Niederschick:Max Niederschick is a graphic designer, trainer, and author with over 32 years of experience. As co-owner and head of the creative unit at NWP, he designs communication strategies for SMEs and international corporations – with a sharp focus on sustainability. He is an Ad Net Zero certified designer, certified CSR expert, and member of Clean Creatives, as well as a sought-after speaker and author of numerous Austrian specialist publications. For 15 years, he has been developing live learning formats for creative professionals, particularly in sustainability, typography, and design.
