Empathie bilden – für Demenz wendet sich an alle Interessierten, Angehörigen von Menschen mit Demenz, Pflegenden und im Besonderen jungen Menschen. Es lädt internationale und nationale Expert*innen aus den Bereichen künstlerische Forschung, Demenz Pflege, Kunst, Design, Therapie, Kunstdidaktik, Musikpädagogik, sowie bildender und darstellender Kunst zu Gesprächen, Vorträgen, Screenings und Präsentationen ein. Internationale und nationale Expert*innen teilen ihre Sichtweisen und Erfahrungen, Künstler*innen zeigen ihre Arbeiten:Englisch am Vormittag | Deutsch am Nachmittag.
DEMEDARTS Dementia.Empathy.Education.Arts. ist ein künstlerisches Forschungsprojekt am Zentrum Didaktik für Kunst und interdisziplinären Unterricht an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien und forscht künstlerisch zu Wahrnehmungs- und Handlungsmustern im Kontext einer alternden Gesellschaft, macht es sich zur Aufgabe die Gesellschaft für das Thema Demenz zu sensibilisieren.

EDUCATING EMPATHY - CARING FOR DEMENTIA
This online symposium aims to showcase artistic research and teaching strategies based on principles of art and design education that strengthen empathy for people with dementia.in Vienna on November 19th, 2020.
Educating Empathy – Caring for Dementia addresses anybody interested in the topic, relatives of people with dementia, care takers and especially younger people. International and national experts in the areas of artistic research, dementia care, art, design, therapy, art education, music education, and fine arts as well as applied arts are invited to participate in talks, lectures, screenings and presentations. National and international experts share their views and experiences; artists showcase their work:English in the morning | German in the afternoon
DEMEARTS Dementia.Empathy.Education.Arts. is an artistic research project at the Center for Didactics of Art and Interdisciplinary Education at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. The research project focuses on artistic research on patterns of perception and action in the context of an aging society and aims to raise awareness in our society of the issue of dementia.
