About the speaker

Soodeh Farokhi, PhD., is a visionary technology entrepreneur and a proven strategic executive with over a decade of exponential experience in the enterprise software space as a technology and product leader. She has a solid dual tech-business view with broad experience building innovative software products from the ground up to large-scale customer deployments while complying with data privacy regulations. She is a leader with significant experience in managing and empowering people, building alignments, elevating autonomy, agility, and diversity, making the right decision, and accomplishing the vision collaboratively. She is the founder and the former outward-facing CTO at C2RO, a Canadian AI enterprise company, the world leader in Privacy-aware AI Video Analytics solutions by leveraging the existing security cameras.

Among her achievements, she is the finalist of the Canadian Women Entrepreneurs National Award (RBC, 2020), the finalist of the Young Quebec Entrepreneurs Provisional Award (ARISTA, 2018), and was recognized as an innovator transforming the AI Video Analytics industry (SAP, 2021). She grew up in Iran, where her entrepreneurial journey started at age 27 by co-founding a software startup to automate enterprise business processes. She is the co-founder and a former executive member of the Women of MENA in Technology Montreal and serves as a business advisor for several tech startups and organizations. She has a PhD. in computer science from Vienna University of Technology and an M.Sc., and a B.Sc. in SW engineering.
