With a focus on listening and reacting naturally, this workshop will look at some fun, practical and imaginative communicative activities that you can use in class to keep your students motivated and engaged. Helping students realise that in order to communicate effectively,  they first need to listen.  

This will be an interactive workshop with lots of ideas that you can take away and use in class. Some will also be applicable to online teaching. The session will appeal to teachers working with students of all levels and ages.

We will look at the following things: 

• Introducing listening tasks into your lessons
• Fun language activities where listening is the key focus
• Effective ways to listen for specific information
• Motivating and encouraging students to react naturally in conversation

What will I need?

• You will need some plain paper and a pen.
• You will be sent some information individually for some of the activities

Pre-task

Before the session please find a photo on your phone that makes you smile and have it ready to share with the group.

Participants will receive the session notes. A digital certificate of participation can be provided upon request.
