Invinzible Bodies Life Drawing session with Nepor Sandie and Deloria Patton
In celebration of Pride month, Hint Wien and Invinzible Bodies Life Drawing present a unique opportunity to engage with and depict the diverse narratives of the “disabled” queer body. Unlike in traditional life drawing sessions, our model does not stay silent, but instead takes an active role, sharing their personal journey in a queer disabled body while posing. Attendees will also have the opportunity to reflect on and share their own experiences of “disability” and queerness fostering meaningful dialogue and connection within the queer community. Whether you're an experienced artist or a novice, this class provides a safe and supportive environment to explore your artistic expression and the personal and political narratives of your body. All drawing materials are included. 18:00- 21:00 Join us this Wednesday 12 June 2024 at Lackierergasse 10, 1090, Dachatelier (4th Floor). Bring a snack or drink to share: --Agenda-- 18:00 Opening Part 1: Drawing with instruction Break: Dinner and drinks Part 2: Drawing with the model’s narrative Break: Viewing each other’s work Part 3: Reflection and discussion 21:00 Close @deloria_poetry@Nepor_Sandei@hintwien@queerwriterscirclevienna

Nepor Sandie
Nepor Sandei (she/her) is a Sierra Leonean born, queer writer and creative incorporating personal essays, sounds and visual art in work that tackles issues of identity, marginalisation, peace, conflict and rights. She is the founder of Invinzible_Bodies Life Drawing which offers a space for everyday models to talk about their personal journeys with their bodies whilst being drawn. @Nepor_Sandei

Deloria Patton
Deloria Patton (she/they) is a queer polyamorous linguist and a new poet and writer. They have many special interests, but they have always been most passionate about words; believing that every word carries metaphors within its etymologies, which permit us a glimpse into the hidden cultural history of the world and time that coined it. Although her poetry and writing often plays with myth, magic, and metaphor, their work is predominantly about their harrowing experiences in institutionalized medical contexts as a disabled, queer femme. She joined the Queer Writer’s Circle Vienna after joyfully discovering her voice, her passions, and herself after she rejoined life in 2022, having finally been able to access an intrathecal pain pump. She can be found on Instagram @deloria_poetry --DE--Deloria Patton Deloria Patton (sie/they) ist eine queere polyamore Linguistin und eine neue Dichterin und Schriftstellerin. She can be found on Instagram @deloria_poetry
