Living in a foreign country (English language event)
Welcome back, Irene! Irene Rojnik just spend four months on a volunteer assignment in Medellin, Colombia and will share her experiences, including:
- What it is like to live in a house with six priests.
- What were her biggest challenges as a woman moving to Colombia.
- What helped her adopt to the new realities of life in Medellin.
After a Q&A-time, we will be curious about your personal encounters on what supports or hinders integrating in a foreign country. Let's share our experiences.
About Irene Rojnik
Mag.a Irene Rojnik has a master in Systemic Coaching and Organisational Development, a university degree in Communications and Conflict Resolution and a degree in Mediation. She has 15 years of experience in working with international NGOs. In this time she was involved in the development and the roll out the Strategic Planning Processes including developing the vision.
Since 2013 she worked as coach, trainer and researcher on leadership with a special focus on working on the authenticity and supporting the strengths of people. Understanding the power of emotions and working with the human body, both play an important role in her work.
She loves travelling and has lived in different cities: New York, London, Brussels and Medellin, Colombia.
Since recently, Irene is Vice-General Secretary of the Catholic Womens' Movement.
