Neighbor Living Room Sessions presents: Agnes Milewski

An evening of live music at Neighbor Wine Store — the final stop of Agnes Milewski's For the Birds tour, presented by The Touring Sofa Experience.

The Touring Sofa Experience is a European tour series that trades large concert venues for intimate, up-close settings — living rooms, gardens, rooftops, small cafes. Independent artists, acoustic sets, and a room where the distance between performer and listener is as small as it gets. Neighbor is a natural home for it.

Agnes Milewski is an Austrian singer-songwriter born in Poland, based in Vienna. Over two decades and six studio albums she has built a reputation as one of the most distinct voices in the Austrian singer-songwriter scene — someone who moves between plaintive piano and alt-folk, haunted pop and acoustic chamber music, without ever quite landing in any single category. Her influences are Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Björk. Her sound is her own.

Joining her is Mia Heck — a long-time musical companion and bandmate, whose connection with Agnes goes back to their earliest years playing together.

For the Birds, released October 23rd, is her latest album. Eight days later, the two bring it to the Neighbor Living Room for the final show of the tour.

Neighbor Living Room Sessions brings music to where it belongs: close. No stage, no distance. One room, thirty people, and songs worth sitting still for.
