About this event
Have you ever wondered what you are communicating with your body and voice when you are presenting your research to a group, chatting to your colleagues, participating in a meeting, or showing up to network with funders and peers?
If you’re not sure, the answer is “much more than you probably think”!
In this fun and informative workshop, we’ll dive into what non-verbal communication is, what you need to be aware of in yourself and others to enhance your communication, and how to make sure that are showing up confidently and clearly in the virtual world AND in “real life”.
We’ll cover:
- What is non-verbal communication and how much does it REALLY matter?
- Understanding the link between your first impression and non-verbal communication
- Aligning your non-verbal communication to your verbal communication to be congruent and impactful
- Recognising and interpreting other people’s non-verbals
- How to leverage your understanding of non-verbal cues to enhance communication
You’ll also receive:
Digital templates, handouts and reminders, a future reading list, and useful sources and references for material used in the workshop.
