DANCING WITH THE DEMONS
Playfight is an encounter between dominance and dance in which we search for our own unique expression of power and ingenuity. By getting in contact with our opponent ́s power we get into contact with our own strength.
As playfight is always a practice for authentic self-expression this time we want to open the space especially for the HEAVY stuff.
Can we hold space for the weight on some one else‘s shoulders?
Can we witness that which can‘´t be healed (yet)?
Can we collectively transform that which knows no solution?
This is not a beginners workshop.
This is a space for those who carry a lot, manage their buissness, do the necessary and still might like to hand some of it over temporarily, be seen and felt with their struggles and be held in the beneficial gaze of others.
It‘s also an invitation for those who are in their power at the moment and who are able to share it. For those who know how to dance with demons.
In the first part of the workshop we are looking at our potential for authentic relating, connection and expressive behaviour. We will dive into the space between impulse and reaction, between attention, agression and affection.
In the second part of the evening we come together in the traditional format to watch two playfighters doing their thing in the middle of our circle.
Come as you are and share your authentic presence in a non-verbal practice.
Bring:
a drinking bottle, confy clothes to move (long trousers) and maybe a small snack to share afterwards.
The workshop is facilitated by:
Dorian Bonelli, an artist and body worker who is practicing and teaching this format since over a decade. This workshop is delivered from a queer perspective, including social and body wisdom gained through the challenges of a queer life.
