POLYXENA

Fox On Ice

A performing arts concert giving a voice to the silenced women from the Trojan War to the present day.

Troy Museum

POLYXENAFox On Ice premieres the most influential myth about the senseless destruction of the city of Troy by a cruel and childish war that destroyed the principles of a civilisation’s political, public, private and religious achievements. The overlooked and unheard women regain their voices and perspectives in songs, images, scenes and narratives, creating a vital outcry against the incomprehensible stupidity of a seemingly ineradicable perversion: war.The show combines elements of cinema, theatre, literature and alternative rock music and provides a framework of public formats of applied humanities. POLYXENA offers a sensual crossing of stage and screen, voice and body, myth and music. The entrence is free in combination with a museum-ticket for the same day.Reservation recommended! FOX ON ICE is the band project of Anna Luca Poloni, writer, singer, performer and Christian Mair, musician, producer and visual artist.Fox On Ice is a European Band based in Vienna, Austria, performing worldwide. Producer of Fox On Ice is Wortwiege, one of the most renown theatre-labels in Austria.
