Predictive maintenance is currently considered the top use case for artificial intelligence (AI) in production. The potential for manufacturing SMEs is currently only being exploited to a small extent. This is mostly due to a lack of prerequisites for a broad application of AI by SMEs, such as an easy and uncomplicated application by the user on site.
