About this event

  • 2 hours

On Saturday, 8th of June immerse yourself in the practice of Qigong and unwind with a soothing Tea Ceremony afterwards. We are bringing this new concept to Vienna that is practiced in China and Taiwan as a part of a healthy lifestyle by millions of people.

Qigong is an ancient system combining breath and movement to promote health and harmony within the body. Practiced by millions worldwide, it offers therapeutic effects similar to those of yoga and meditation and is suitable for people of all ages and lifestyles. It is particularly beneficial for those suffering from office syndrome, such as back and neck pain, and high stress levels.

Tea Ceremony, rooted in Chinese tradition but developed and systematized by Japanese Zen Buddhists and the Samurai ruling class, is a practice where two or more people come together for a heart-to-heart encounter, benefiting from being present in the moment. There are various forms of tea ceremonies, including a silent one where participants simply enjoy a cup of tea by themselves before engaging in exchange and conversation.

The nourishing qualities of tea cultivated from wild trees on high mountains with mineral-rich soil, paired with the energizing movements of Qigong, create a duo that will leave you recharged, relaxed and joyful.

How this practice helps you:

  • Learn a relaxation practice that nourishes the heart and fosters emotional balance.
  • Prepare your body and mind for the warmth and activities of the upcoming summer.
