At our third RELATE online discussion event, you will have the opportunity to hear from Nora Fisher Onar, associate professor of international studies at the University of San Francisco. In her talk, entitled 'Decentring European Foreign Policy through Contrapuntal Listening: A Relational Agenda', Dr Fisher Onar will connect (i) the relational turn in European foreign policy analysis to (ii) her three-step framework for decentering European IR (with Kalypso Nicolaidis, 2013; 2021), and (iii) the promise of "contrapuntal" listening as a method of decentering (from her recent JCMS article with Sarah Wollf, David Gazsi and Daniela Huber, 2022)
