WorkshopUse Technologies on Your Terms — Privacy, Boundaries, and ControlIn today’s digital world, your personal data isn’t just being collected — it’s being used to shape what you see, what you click on, and how you feel, often without you realizing it. From social media feeds designed to keep you scrolling, to manipulative dark patterns, to AI tools collecting more information than you expect, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and unsure how to protect yourself. Most people don’t act on these risks because it feels complicated, time-consuming, or impossible. This workshop changes that. What we'll cover:

How algorithms influence your social media feeds and recommendations — and what you can do to control and change them.

How to spot ‘dark patterns’ online — those sneaky tricks designed to pressure you into sharing more, buying more, or staying longer than you intended.

Simple ways to interact with AI chatbots and tools more safely, so you stay in control.

Quick privacy wins: essential settings you can change right now to protect yourself, minimize data collection, and reduce digital influence.

A plain-language guide to what you can (and can’t) control when it comes to your data.

This isn’t a lecture — it’s a hands-on skills session. You’ll walk away knowing exactly what to do next. You don’t need to be a tech expert — you just need a starting point.Join us to gain control, set boundaries, and use technology on your terms.
