Who builds the future?

The program of theAEMS Summer Schoolcenters on the variety of alternative economic and monetary systems, ecologic sustainability, a future-oriented management of natural resources and energy as well as critical business ethics. Lectures, workshops and discussion panels enable the students to acquire a deeper understanding of the intricate interactions of society, economy and ecology. The program offers a holistic approach and focuses on a social-ecological and economic transformation.As a Master-level program, theGBS Summer Universityinvites students of architecture, construction, engineering and similar fields to gain expert knowledge about sustainable and ecological building alternatives - deepening their knowledge on passive house technology, renewable energy production and integrated urban planning in lectures, hands-on workshops as well as an interdisciplinary project work.AEMS and GBS are organized in close cooperation between theOeAD student housing, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU Vienna) and the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien).Find more information onwww.summer-university.net

The event brings together perspectives from climate research, economic justice, and sustainable spatial design to explore the forces shaping our future. Centered on the question Who builds the future?, the discussion focuses on identifying innovative approaches and practical solutions for designing climate-resilient and equitable systems.
