VIENNA CLASSICAL FESTIVAL 2026Experience seven unforgettable summer evenings of classical music in the magnificent setting of Vienna's Minorite Church. From July 24 to August 2, 2026, the Vienna Classical Festival returns for its third edition, bringing together internationally acclaimed artists, exceptional repertoire, and the unique atmosphere of one of Vienna's most beautiful historic churches. The festival's resident orchestra, LES ORPHEISTES, performs under the artistic direction of Mario Hossen, with Martin Sieghart as conductor-in-residence and Sophie Dervaux as a long-standing artistic partner. The 2026 program spans Viennese Classicism, the High Baroque, and rarely performed musical gems. The festival opens on July 24 with celebrated trumpeter Selina Ott, winner of the ECHO Klassik Award, performing works by Corelli, Tartini, Ravel, and Defaye/Planel together with Les Orpheistes under Martin Sieghart.A dedicated Mozart Evening follows on July 26, featuring the Varga Quartet Vienna and acclaimed pianist Adela Liculescu.A special highlight awaits on July 29 at 10:00 p.m. with the premiere of the Late Night Concert Vienna. In the candlelit atmosphere of the Minorite Church, audiences will hear Arvo Pärt's Spiegel im Spiegel, Barber's Adagio for Strings, works by Bach and Handel, and Mozart's Laudate Dominum. On July 31 and August 1, distinguished Spanish pianist Iván Martín takes the stage both as soloist and conductor from the piano, performing Haydn's Piano Concerto in D major alongside Mozart's Symphony No. 29.The festival concludes on August 2 with "Bach & Paganini meet Schumann," a unique collaboration between Iván Martín and violinist Mario Hossen, combining Bach's sonatas and partitas with Paganini's legendary 24 Caprices and Schumann's rarely performed piano accompaniment.Join us for a celebration of outstanding musicianship, inspiring programs, and the timeless beauty of classical music in the heart of Vienna.
Concerts at the Wiener Klassik Festival 2026:
24 & 25 July 2026 · 8:00 p.m.Les Orpheistes Orchestra Conductor: Martin Sieghart Selina Ott – TrumpetProgram:

Arcangelo Corelli – Concerto grosso in D major, Op. 6 No. 1

Giuseppe Tartini – Concerto for Trumpet and Strings

Maurice Ravel – Suite for Strings

Jean-Michel Defaye / Planel – Concerto for Trumpet and Strings

Arcangelo Corelli – Concerto grosso in G major, Op. 6 No. 6

26 July 2026 · 8:00 p.m. MOZART SOIRÉEVarga Quartett Wien Adela Liculescu – Piano Program: Works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart 29 July 2026 · 10:00 p.m. Late Night Concert Vienna – PremiereLes Orpheistes Orchestra Sophie Dervaux – Conductor and Bassoon Mario Hossen – Violin Nataliya Stepanska – Soprano Don Elias Stolz – TrumpetProgram excerpts:Arvo Pärt – "Spiegel im Spiegel" Johann Sebastian Bach – "Erbarme dich, mein Gott" (aria from the St Matthew Passion, BWV 244); Air on the G String from the Suite No. 3 in D major (BWV 1068) Niccolò Paganini – Religiosa Introduzione al Rondo del Campanello Samuel Barber – Adagio for Strings George Frideric Handel – "Let the Bright Seraphim" from Samson Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – "Laudate Dominum" from KV 339; "Exsultate, jubilate" KV 165 (I.
