Author Talks

Author Events is a UK-based community bringing together writers, readers, authors and publishing professionals through events, learning opportunities and genuine connection.Whether you're writing your first words, working towards publication, already published, or simply love books and meeting the people who create them, there’s a place for you at Author Events.Throughout the year, we run a growing programme of free and affordable author events, talks, panels, workshops, book clubs, coffee mornings and networking opportunities, creating welcoming spaces where people can meet, learn, share experiences and become part of a supportive literary community. For writers looking to develop their craft, the Author Academy offers workshops, courses and more intensive learning opportunities led by experienced authors and publishing professionals. From the practicalities of writing a novel to understanding the publishing industry, our aim is to provide useful, accessible support at every stage of the writing journey. Our Writers Hub provides another way for writers to connect, with opportunities to meet fellow writers, share experiences and become part of a community that continues beyond individual events.Author Events members receive additional benefits and opportunities, including access to selected events and resources, member discounts, promotional support and opportunities to become more involved in the Author Events programme.Alongside our regular community events, we produce larger literary projects, themed author panels and genre-focused festivals, bringing together authors, agents, editors, publishers and other industry professionals. At the heart of everything we do is one simple idea: writing shouldn't have to be a solitary journey. We want Author Events to be a place where writers can find their people, readers can discover new authors, and everyone who loves books and storytelling can feel part of something bigger.Discover our upcoming events, Author Academy, Writers Hub and membership at authorevents.co.uk.
