DC127 was founded in 2013 and was given its name to reflect James 1:27, which mandates believers to care for orphans and widows in their distress. DC127 supports families in DC whose lives have been impacted by the foster care system. This includes foster, adoptive, and kinship families and biological families at risk of separation. DC127 is focused on mobilizing the church, empowering families, and protecting children.
