DC Comedy Festival™
Founded in 2017, the DC Comedy Festival (DCCF) is Washington, D.C.’s largest Black-owned and independently operated stand-up comedy festival. Held annually across multiple venues in the nation’s capital, DCCF celebrates the vibrant and diverse voices of the comedy community by spotlighting emerging talent alongside nationally recognized acts.
The festival spans several days and features stand-up showcases, comedy workshops, panel discussions, and networking events designed to elevate comedians’ craft and expand their professional reach. Past editions have hosted performers from across the country and internationally, creating a platform where creativity, community, and comedy collide.
DCCF is produced by Broken Diamond Entertainment, in collaboration with iconic venues such as Busboys and Poets, District E at Capital One Arena, McGinty’s Public House, and others. It continues to uplift underrepresented voices and foster cultural exchange through laughter, storytelling, and shared experiences.
In addition to live shows, the festival champions community impact through partnerships with nonprofits like VetTix and Comedy in the City, providing free or discounted tickets to veterans, underserved communities, and aspiring young artists.
