Heaton Mersey Village Conservation Group

HMVCG maintains and enhances the Heaton Mersey Conservation Area, Mersey Vale Nature Park, the

Sidings Community Orchard and the green corridor which connects these spaces, known locally as the

Woodland Walk. We partner with specialist groups like the Mammal Society and Cheshire Wildlife Trust,

local businesses and other community groups to increase access and use of green space for the

wellbeing of the planet and community. Working together we protect and improve the special habitat and

topography typical to the area through a community green space volunteer programme and CSR activity.

We advocate for conservation and sustainability providing learning and information resources and

activity to support this aim.
