Howdy Stranger

Howdy Stranger is a professional team of masterful improvisers and trainers. Over the last 15 years, thousands of people have taken their classes and workshops to help improve skills around self-confidence, communication, collaboration, creative thinking, problem-solving, and public speaking.

The troupe performs highly interactive comedy shows, emcees events, and hosts monthly community engagement activities. They have appeared at many festivals in the North East and won several competitions, including “NYC Tournament of Improvisers,” “The Arena,” “Improv Bowl XI,” and “Summer Improv League.”

Howdy Stranger collaborated with the Speech and Theater Association of NJ (STANJ), as well as the New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Thespians, to restructure and unify how the improv category is conducted at their separate annual competitions. Team members also serve as adjudicators at these events.
