Feral Pen
Feral Pen is a Dublin-based multidisciplinary art studio founded and led by Meath-born artist Kat Ennis. The studio’s work spans three distinct practices: fine-art painting, event and theatre production, and experimental writing. Each discipline is carried as its own strand — sometimes intersecting, sometimes independent — allowing the practice to grow with clarity, balance, and intention.
Feral Pen’s visual art centres on acrylic and ink paintings shaped by pop-art influences, bold colour palettes, and a sense of playful nostalgia. Alongside this, the studio produces collaborative performance events and theatre works, including Brambles (Dublin Fringe 2025) and Songs of Theys (2023), as well as cabarets, art shows, and pop-up exhibitions. Writing continues as a parallel practice, feeding into both the visual and performative work.
Open to collaboration while also protecting essential time for the studio’s own creative development, Feral Pen cultivates space for both community and focused artistic practice.
Whether you’re drawn to nostalgia driven paintings, immersive theatre, or boundary-pushing events, Feral Pen creates dynamic experiences that captivate, energise, and inspire.
