On the Mat with Michaela
My name is Michaela. I am a wife and mom of 2 girls. I work as a nurse, both in the hospital as well as teaching in an undergraduate nursing program. I completed my 200-hour Yoga teacher training in April 2024 @bloomyogastudio
I first found yoga in college as a compliment my fitness routine; over the years practicing on and off. But in 2018, pregnant with my second daughter, I began to practice yoga with more intention. Yoga allowed me to connect to my body and mind in a new way during a time of growth and transition and has continued to help me navigate life’s curves, swerves and bumps with its mind/body connection.
As a nurse, I have watched numerous co-workers experience burnout. I wanted to be able to offer something to counter this trend. The resiliency that I have found in yoga led me to teach yoga, in hopes that I could help others find the same resiliency and inner strength. I aspire to share the unique partnership of movement and stillness yoga has to offer, on and off the mat.
My goal is to make yoga accessible to everyone. I hope you’ll join me on the mat!
