The Council for Disabled Children (CDC) is the umbrella body for the disabled children's sector. We are the only national body that brings together the diverse range of organisations that work with and for disabled children to support the development and implementation of policy and practice. We host a series of dedicated networks that address specific areas relating to special education and disability (SEND). These include:Making Ourselves Heard: Working to ensure disabled young people are invovled in the decisions that affect them.Special Educational Consortium: Working to protect and promote the rights of disabled children and children with SEN.Transition Information Network: Working to improve disabled young people's transitioj to adulthood. We also manage the following network support services;Independent Support: Providing support and advice to parents, children and young people on transition to the new reforms.IASS Network: The national support network for local Information, Advice and Support services.
