Veranstalter von Paediatric Palliative Care Education
We are a regional specialist paediatric palliative care service, based near Leeds. Along with our work in the hospice, we support families and professionals in homes and hospitals throughout the region.Quality, choice and empowering a voiceFor us, children’s palliative care is about quality, choice and empowering a voice, ensuring that children, young people and their families receive the best quality care. We aim to enhance quality of life and ensure it is embedded throughout the care and support that we provide.Real choices are vital for the children, young people and their families who use our services. Choices about where their care is provided, about preferred place of death and access to support and advice.Empowering people to have a voice underpins everything we do to support children, young people and their families. Listening allows us to understand what is important in their lives and how we can support them to have a good death. Listening allows us to care with families.Leader in paediatric careWe have been there since the start and continue to be a leader in paediatric palliative care. We are a centre of excellence and take pride in our team of specialist clinicians from both health and social care. Our clinical team is led by our two consultants in paediatric palliative medicine. This not only enables us to provide the absolute highest standards of specialist paediatric and young adult palliative care but also allows us to support any health or social care colleague to support children, young people and their families in any setting through education and training.
