Instructor Bio:

Scott Vadakin is a 20-year student of the Fire Service. He currently works for the Thornton Fire Department (Thornton, CO) serving as a Lieutenant in the Training Division. He is a Lead Instructor for the Northside Training Consortium and the North Area Fire Academy (Denver Metro) where he develops firefighter curriculum and training for incumbents and recruits. He is a Co-Founder of True Grit Training LLC. He has taught at various conferences across the country, including the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC), Firemanship Conference & Mile High Firefighters Conference. His areas of passion include Search, Engine Company Ops, Firefighter Survival, RIT and Forcible Entry. Scott is a devoted husband and a proud father of two beautiful daughters.
