Tamara Beale is a Brisbane-based artist and art educator whose painting and illustration explore narrative, place, and connection. Her recent work blends surrealist imagery with Australian motifs and mythology. After completing her degree at QUT in the late 1990s, Tamara has worked primarily as an art teacher for Education Queensland, developing an Excellence in Visual Art program at Wellington Point SHS in Brisbane’s bayside. She teaches art across all high school year levels and has been a member of QATA for much of that time. She is also a member of Base Art and Wynnum Manly Arts Council collectives.
